City Harvest Volunteer Portal

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with City Harvest! During to the COVID-19 outbreak, City Harvest is an Essential Service in New York City and will continue working hard to get good food out to our neighbors in need.

Volunteer are needed to help us pre-pack produce and pantry packs for easy distribution by our partner agencies and at our Mobile Markets. We have added protocols to ensure safety for our volunteers, clients, and staff, and all volunteers are required to agree to our COVID-19 Policies and Procedures and follow all safety precautions. Please note, we will continue to update our policies as per CDC guidance.

Due to health and safety requirements from the City of New Yorkunfortunately all volunteers must be under the age of 65 to engage at our projects as of June 9, 2020. We look forward to having you join us for projects in the future.

To comply with new guidance from the New York City Department of Health, we are now requiring that all volunteers and staff at our Food Rescue Facility and Mobile Markets wear face masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our volunteers, clients, and staff as of April 3, 2020. All volunteers should provide their own face coverings and may be dismissed from a project if they arrive without a mask. Dust masks, scarves, bandannas, etc. are all acceptable as long as the mask covers the nose and mouth.
